Mass Media Hysteria

It has come to my attention that the Old Media has taken it upon themselves, not surprisingly, to be the mouthpiece of the Democrat Party. Hurricane Katrina has devastated 3 southern states and millions of Americans are affected by this disaster. Yet, the Democrats and their propaganda organs, Old Media, are attacking the President today for the worst storm to ravage the United States in recorded history.

The hysteria before, during and after the biggest storm in history hit the Gulf-States is almost mind-boggling and would be laughable were it not such a tragic situation as New Orleans has become completely unliveable. We know the Democrats have recently passed out their talking points that compared the War on Terror to the quagmire that was the Viet-Nam War. Now, we have the media actually useing references to the "Fall of Saigon" to describe the evacuation efforts going on in New Orleans.

Now, whenever a member of the Federal Government takes questions from Old Media, their questions convey a sense of hysteria that President Bush is somehow too little, too late with his efforts. Never mind that the Federal Government declared the Gulf-States a disaster area BEFORE the storm hit Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. What's Bush to do? Part the Sea and walk on water and raise the dead? I know they believe Clinton can do this but lets not lose ALL our senses, shall we?

I find it amazing that the Democrats would use this tragedy as a vehicle and a means to score cheap political points. But then again, they always take advantage of tragedy to further their leftwing agenda from the war-dead in the War on Terror to the storm-dead from Hurricane Katrina. The leftwing carping will be remembered for a long time to the detriment of the Democrat Party itself. The Democrat Party is a party of Asses! A pox upon their house.

This has nothing to do with politics. Anderson Cooper laid into Sen. Landrieu, a Democrat, last night because the government dropped the ball - Republican and Democrat. Your party just happens to be in charge of the whole show. Don't pretend like you wouldn't blame Democrats if this happened on their watch.

To pretend that the response to this disaster has been anything other than completely incompetent is to turn a blind eye to reality. People who survived the winds and the floods are now dropping dead from lack of food and water. These politicians are busy getting photo ops instead of doing their jobs and getting help to where it needs to be.

Speaking of the media: Why can TV cameras get to these people and FEMA can't? The newscasters should be ashamed of themselves. If they're going, go to help, not just to broadcast. Bring your camera along with food and water. You multi-billion dollar corporations could probably spare some money to drop supplies to people who are dying.

Nothing to do with politics? I agree, but apparently the Democrats do not.

I'm not sure which is worse, Hurricane-hysteria or Iraq-hysteria coming from the Left. Now, I hear the Left say its a "black thing" and if the victims had been "white" then the response would have been better. It really pains my heart to witness this tragic scene unfolding in America whether the victims are white or black. When will the vitriol end? With the end of time? The return of Christ?

90,000 square miles have been destroyed in the South. Its going to take time, regardless if a Republican or Democrat is President.

And really, I would not have blamed the Feds for slowness if a Dem had been in office because I always look at the big picture. All the projections regarding New Orleans pointed to catastrophe by the government and Army Corps of Engineers but for the Left to dump on President Bush is completely self-righteous and hypocritical and I might add, sounds like a Fundamentalist Christian in reverse!
