A Marine from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) awaits the word to launch his Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) from the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) for a landing rehearsal exercise.
