Force of History

I find it interesting that Jesus Christ is so accepted by friend and foe alike. The Christians view him as the Son of God. The Molsems view him as another prophet. The Buddists as an enlightened teacher. Mormons as an angel of God. Jews as a wise but deluded Rabbi. Heck, even Adolf Hitler took a kind view of Christ and accepted him as an Aryan who was murdered by "those" jews! Basically, the world acknowledges and accepts their own image of Christ as they see it even though they may reject the actual words of Christ.

But then again, that is the problem. The actual words of Jesus Christ is what set him apart from every other world figure in history. Precisely because of his words no other "human" has had such an effect on so many nations and in so many cultures on so many continents in so short a time as has the Nazarene. Many have killed in his name, many have waged war in his name and many have been martyered because they have believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. The words of Christ are the only extant article we have of this mysterious figure of history.

And yet as delicate and precarious as this position may be, his words have withstood the march of time. The power of Christ resides in the words of Christ. This in turn has effected history in those nations and cultures that valued words the most. Words allows us to expand our understanding and vocabulary allows the mind to move beyond the simplistic titulations of the body. Doctrinal rationale, canon law, constitution these are the things of the mind which cannot be defeated by sheer physical force alone.

The pen is mightier than the sword has been said more than once but the pen and the sword taken together? That is a force to be reckoned with! Woe to them that ignore the force of history.

Omens

Typically portents in the heavens tend to mean bad things will happen. Usually, a comet or LUNAR ECLIPSE points to some big thing that negatively affects us. Although, what may be a negative event for one may be a positive event for another. Tonights Lunar Eclipse may portend the following:

A) Yasser Arafat will die.

B) Another Terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11.

C) The Democrat Party has realized they have lost the election.

D) Osama Bin Ladin has been caught or killed.

E) Dan Rather votes Bush/Cheney.

Perhaps celestial events can't tell us exactly the who, what, when or why but it certainly lends its eerie face to all things coincendental. And if that doesn't work, well there's always entrails.

Operation WARTS

President Bushs' War on Terror is so aptly named because he doesn't want the Islamic World to use this war as a justification for a "clash of civilizations". Bush's team has tried to distinguish the moslem from the terrorist and has resisted the temptation to characterize this war in religious tones.

This war which we are engaged in isn't so much a "crusade" against terror as it is a war against the states that sponsor terror. Hence, Operation WARTS or Operation WAR on Terror States. Our greatest successes have been when we have overthrown governments with direct connections to terrorism. Afghanistan and Iraq were both important battlefields in Operation WARTS which established our new "vision" for all to plainly see. Ghaddafi himself plainly saw this new world order for what it was and promptly "surrendered" his plans of nuclear granduer. Other nations have not been so wise.

The soldiers and captains of terrorism collectively known as terrorists could not do what they do were it not for the states that support them. The operational tempo of the Terror States dictates the timing and scale of the attack and several fronts have been established across the globe that clearly are being coordinated at the national level. Terrorists are able to utilize these nations that support them to transit and station their "divisions/battalions" for a more propititous time to strike. The Terror States in turn use these soldiers for their own political aspirations where the expertise and quality of their own armed forces are lacking to effect an outcome favorable to their own national foreign policy.

Operation WARTS is grand strategy born from the ashes of 9/11. It attempts to give the Islamic world the benefit-of-the-doubt. We tread carefully so as not to upset the global economy as well as incite those Islamic Nations that do support the United States and her allies. Where it will fully lead no one can quite predict. Make no mistake, the world has entered a new era.

The Presidency

I've told my friends that GW Bush is going to win big. I have no data to support this conclusion other than my sincere belief that the American people would never vote out a War-Time President.

There are other factors as well. Many a pundit has tried to compare this Presidency to his father's rule back in 1992. This is a mistake. GH Bush lost his reelection bid because he raised taxes. GW has not done this and in fact has cut taxes. Also, GH had a spoiler to ruin his chances of a second term, mainly the phantom Ross Perot. This split the vote for GH enough to allow the creep from Arkansas to "seize" the throne. Finally, the biggest and perhaps most important factor contributing to a Bush victory this year, is the 9/11 attack. This is an unknown quantity that has the effect of a force mulitplyer to change the course of politics for generations to come. And GW is riding the crest of that wave.

Kerry, on the other hand, is stuck on the beach with a sunburn.

Just Beginning

This is my first posting and hope many more to come. My interest is to provide snipets of information about current trends in history and how current-events may affect/effect those trends.
