Able Danger: Courage to Believe

The recent revelation from military officers, both from the Army and Navy, that military intelligence had identified at least 4 of the 9/11 hijackers in 2000 is rather explosive, if I may be so bold. I find it interesting that the 9/11 Commision immediately dismissed this report and then after much coverage from the New Media, the Commission recanted their denial and said indeed they were informed of this development.

As I have written before, it is my contention that the first terror attack on the World Trade Center was the actual beginning of the Jihadi War on America and because of the weakness of Bill Clinton, both in foreign and domestic affairs, a rather pitiful defensive policy decision was made to suppress any information or connections to Islamic Terrorism that would have amplified Jihadi terror if the United States had acknowledged in public that we were in a shooting/bombing war. The President was weak and completely outmanuevered in the poltical arena, you may remember Kosovo was a political disaster for Clinton since Congress activated the War Powers Act against Clinton's will and forced his hand in the Balkans in the late 90's. On every foreign policy issue, Clinton struck-out from Somalia to Kosovo to Palestine.

If Able Danger did indeed identify Mohammed Atta and three other hijackers while Clinton was in office this also might go far to explain Sandy Burger's thievery and destruction of critical documents related to 9/11 perhaps even related to Able Danger itself. The connection between Muhammed Atta and Iraq is also identified by Able Danger and confirmed by Czech Intelligence when they sifted through documents in the Iraqi Embassy after the fall of the Baathist regime.

Edward Morrissey writing in the The Daily Standard traces the steps that brought Mohammed Atta to Czechoslavakia in 2000 to escape the dragnet setup when Iraqi secret agents were captured in Germany:

Al-Watan al-Arabi (Paris) reports that two Iraqis were arrested in Germany, charged with spying for Baghdad. The arrests came in the wake of reports that Iraq was reorganizing the external branches of its intelligence service and that it had drawn up a plan to strike at US interests around the world through a network of alliances with extremist fundamentalist parties.

The most serious report contained information that Iraq and Osama bin Ladin were working together. German authorities were surprised by the arrest of the two Iraqi agents and the discovery of Iraqi intelligence activities in several German cities. German authorities, acting on CIA recommendations, had been focused on monitoring the activities of Islamic groups linked to bin Ladin.

They discovered the two Iraqi agents by chance and uncovered what they considered to be serious indications of cooperation between Iraq and bin Ladin. The matter was considered so important that a special team of CIA and FBI agents was sent to Germany to interrogate the two Iraqi spies.

Is the 9/11 Commission making a good faith effort to discover the weaknesses in the American Government that ultimately led to the greatest sneak attack on American soil since 1812? Or is the 9/11 Commission simply sweeping things under the rug in an effort to "preserve" Bill Clinton's "legacy"? With Arlen Specter leading the effort to pursue the Able Danger revelation, Specter voted to acquit Clinton during Impeachment, only tends to worry me that indeed things are being swept under in a rash attempt at damage-control rather than for enlightened interest for posterity to absorb and understand.

Time is slowly exposing Saddam Hussein's involvement in Terror during the entire interregnum between Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom and I suspect more information will slowly come to light as the Global Jihad claims more lives in their vain attempt at creating a new Caliphate in the 21st Century.

This is your boy Floyd...make no mistake. You know why the information didn't make print. Plausible deniability and acceptable fallabity..."heck, I's down on the ranch and (dog's name) is chasing a 'dilla. I didn't have any time to read about 'bin Laden determined to attack within US'. Look at my hat. It demonstrates my resolve. Stay the course."

Why is it that lefty's love Communists? They say they want "freedom" but in reality they embrace Castro and Chavez, the antithesis of freedom. Hypocrisy knows no bounds with the Left.

The biggest butcher of communists are communists themselves. Humorous.
