Operation WARTS Recap
With yesterday's fantastic news that Zarqawi was on the receiving end of our F16 Fighting Falcons in Iraq this should remind us that we have the upper hand and ultimately we will prevail, if and only if we maintain our offensive. Operation WARTS (War Against Rogue & Terror States) as envisioned by the War-On-Terror by President Bush should be reviewed again to determine where we stand at this moment.
International Islamic Terrorism is a state-sponsored enterprise. Make no mistake about this nor forget that Moslems in general simply just don't get up one morning and decide to blow up a cafe in Jerusalem or a market in Baghdad. Contrary to the propaganda espoused by terror organizations, Moslems do indeed love life and wish to live as much as any other person in this world. Terrorism must be highly organized, logistically supplied and protected by government entities. It takes time, talent, training and money to strike at a target which in turn is timed to inflict as much psychological damage to itimidate and threaten law abiding citizens in every country where terrorism is excercised as a means to effect a political outcome.
Why have the Moslem states be they Sunni or Shia, Arab or Persian embraced terrorism as a means to an end? Which end do they wish to arrive at? I believe we are seeing in the 21st Century the Ressurection of History! Many things considered long since dead have come to life due to a variety of factors. The main factor animating this ressurection of historical forces is the process of WESTERN globialization. Let's face it, the West is the overlord of the world and every single country from Asia to Africa and all points in between have copied the Western way of life much to the chagrine of the Left in all spheres of human interaction be they in government (democracy) or economics (commercialism) or military (arms and doctrine) or in culture (music, clothing, food, language, architecture, etc). This Western Global Hedgemony is ultimately what is animating the Moslems to wage their War-Of-Terror against us. This War-Of-Terror also is being embraced on a lower level by other civilizations with their covert support to the Rogue and Terror States by funding, by military appropriations and by nuclear know-how to thrwart our own agenda in the world. Russia, Asia, Africa, Middle East and South America have come out swinging against the West but where will it all end up?
The next item on the agenda for Operation WARTS is Iran. Contrary to what most Leftists think, we wish not to wage war against the smaller states in the world today. We only wish to trade with them and makes lots of money. Granted, it appears under-handed and rather hypocritical at times when we in the West sacrifice prinicipal for the almighty dollar but in the end, capitalism enriches everyone from the "obscenely rich" to the scumbag on the bottom of the economic ladder for it allows free-will to run its course through the transaction of business. Iran continues to plunge ahead with uranium enrichment to produce nuclear weapons. After 9/11, this simply cannot be abided. This next front will be more detrimental to the worldwide economy and will probably see for the first time since Nagosaki and Hiroshima the use of nuclear weapons on the battlefield.
The War-On-Terror has not run its course. Just like in every war, certain milestones may be reached such as the taking of certain objectives on a map or the killing of certain individuals that affects command and control of the enemy armies but the war continues until the enemy pleads for mercy. We haven't reached that "event horizon" just yet.
